Hi, my name is Tim
20 years ago Beyond Energy LLC came about from a need we discovered when I was a general contractor. There were a lot of "why" questions that were typically answered with hearsay. So, I decided to become educated in building science, home energy ratings and home inspections to learn how homes really perform and how they should be constructed by “todays” standards. Since then, I’ve learned a lot and now my experience also extends beyond our borders and includes mission trips to 3 other countries building homes, schools and helping others in Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Puerto Rico.

Standard Home Inspection
Following the home inspection standards of practice set by the state of WI and Internachi, and utilizing the latest tools and technology, I’ll use my 20+ years of combined experience from the trades, as a certified HERs rater and home performance consultant to inspect your home. Additionally, I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about the home and report. Our goal for all involved is to create happy informed clients.
Radon Gas Testing
Reducing radon levels in your home is a simple and effective way to protect your health. If you are concerned about radon, please contact us for a short 48 hour test. Usually we can provide preliminary results when we pick up our test unit. We have also completed extensive training to get certified.

Mold Inspection
Our inspection starts with what caused the issue(s) to begin with. Then we take indoor air quality (IAQ) and/or slide samples which are then sent in to a laboratory for expert analysis and reporting. Sampling takes less than a half hour to complete so it's perfect to add to another inspection too.
This report is usually in your hands within 2 days! For an additional fee a 1/2 hr call can be scheduled to talk directly with the lab about your results.
Home Energy Auditor
We offer 3 types of energy audit depending on what you’re needs are. There is a generalized audit using Internachis energy calculator that provides good information and a home energy e-book. An in-depth home performance audit to get to the root cause of the issues your home is experiencing using building science principles and testing, and a “HERs rating” where your home also tested and then input into a professional home energy rating software for different types of mortgages and such. Call us to discuss your options. Pricing varies.

When you buy a home, you typically get a home inspection before you close on the property. This inspection is designed to identify any potential problems with the home so that you can make an informed decision about whether or not to buy it. However, once you have closed on the home, it is possible that new problems could develop. This is why we offer after-closing inspections, some of which can be added onto an initial home buying inspection.
