A "Home Performance with ENERGY STAR” inspection is similar to a home inspection, except instead of looking at the components of your home in regard to the types of repairs needed, we look at how we can improve your homes comfort, durability, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency.  This inspection can be performed year round so you don't have to wait for winter to have these tests completed.

Beyond Energy LLC will perform a number of tests while we’re at your home keeping in mind that making a change to one part of the home will change the performance of another.  Which is why despite the fact that you may have high utility bills we will still perform other tests on your home relating to exhaust ventilation and carbon monoxide safety.  Its known in the industry as, "The whole house approach" and once we’ve determined the cause(s) of what’s happening in your home we can effectively determine the remedy and communicate this to you and/or the contractors you hire to work on your home.  Contact us.

Initial evaluation

In most cases the initial evaluation takes about 2-3 hours and includes the testing listed above along with personal consultation as we are performing the tests. After the inspection and tests are completed Beyond Energy LLC will take the information gathered and compile it into a report that you and/or your contractors can use as a guide to perform the improvements needed to solve your homes issues.

A Post evaluation is also included with the initial cost!

As a part of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program Focus on Energy pays us to come back to your home (once) after improvements are completed to perform a post evaluation.  This helps to verify that the improvements were effective and determines if any cash rebates are available to you from Focus on Energy. 

The new rewards structure available from FOCUS ON ENERGY to our customers after May 1st 2008 is as follows: Please note this is not a complete list.

 *Not to exceed cost of pre-assessment.   If customer received $75 off of initial visit they are only eligible for $175 completion reward.

***customers must purchase electricity from a participating utility to qualify for this reward. 

NOTE:These are rewards from FOCUS ON ENERGY and the rewards are not guaranteed. Certain requirements to qualify for the rewards do apply. Rewards only become available to our customers after a pre assesment and post visit have been completed.  We submit the paperwork for you to claim rewards available to you to Focus on Energy however actual rewards paid are up to the discretion of FOCUS ON ENERGY.  To claim the Focus rewards you may qualify for we do need copies of the receipts for the work completed! Without them we don't get paid from FOCUS ON ENERGY for the post visit and you don't get the rewards that may be available to you.  Due to circumstances beyond our control-If we show up for a scheduled post visit, and there are no receipts for the completed work we will have to bill you for our trip to your house and our time!
