A "Home Performance with ENERGY STAR” inspection can be performed year round so you don't have to wait for winter to have these tests completed.

Some of our customers have had Home Performance with ENERGY STAR assessments completed on their homes for the following reasons:

Wisconsin Energy Audit Initial Visit

In most cases the initial visit lasts two to three hours and includes an inspection of your home, basic testing and an infrared scan of your home.  After the non invasive inspection and tests are complete we take this information and put it into a report that you can use as a guide to making the the suggested improvements you should make to your home based off of building science and test results. You usually receive this report within a couple days of the inspection.

Remember we are only at your home to give you unbiased information about your home. We're not interested in selling you windows, insulation, etc.

Keep in mind that when making improvements to your home, a change to one part of the home will affect other parts of the home too. Which is why despite the fact that we may be at your home for one problem such as high utility bills, for example, we check for other things too relating to indoor air quality, ventilation,carbon monoxide safety, and of course- insulation levels. Its known in the industry as, "The whole house approach" and once we’ve determined how your home is used, it's current conditions, and what’s happening in your home- we can then effectively determine the remedies needed to resolve your homes issues and communicate this to you and the contractors you hire to work on your home.

As a part of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program Focus on Energy currently pays us to come back to your home (once) after improvements are completed to perform a post evaluation. This helps to verify that the improvements were effective and determines if any cash rebates are available to you from Focus on Energy.

NOTE:Rewards are from FOCUS ON ENERGY and the rewards are not guaranteed. Certain requirements to qualify for the rewards do apply. Rewards only become available to our customers after a pre-assessment, improvements and post visit have been completed.  We submit the paperwork for you to claim rewards available to you from Focus on Energy however; actual rewards paid are up to the discretion of FOCUS ON ENERGY. To claim the Focus rewards you may qualify for we do need copies of the receipts for the work completed! Without them we don't get paid from FOCUS ON ENERGY for the post visit and you don't get the rewards that may be available to you. 

Due to circumstances beyond our control-If we show up for a scheduled post visit, and there are no receipts for the completed work we will have to bill you for our trip to your house and our time!
