A Wisconsin Home Performance Audit (Home Energy Audit)

Unless we've been requested to look at your home by a contractor or another building professional the initial inspection lasts two to three hours. Includes a visual inspection of your home, Blower door testing, ventilation testing, combustion safety testing, and an infrared scan of your home.  When we are at your home at the request of a contractor of other supply maufacturer testing usually takes an hour or two and revolves around the specific issue(s) that they or you are and them are trying to rectify.

After the inspection and tests are completed, we review the issues we found with your home and provide more explanation to what you just witnessed with your home during testing.

Back at the office we put our findings into a report that has a prioritized scope of work for you. You usually receive this report via e-mail within a few days of our inspection.

We don't complete any of the work that's needed for your home.  We're simply their to tell you what the heart of the matters are.

Other special offers and rebates from Focus on Energy and ENERGY STAR partners are sometimes offered on specific ENERGY STAR qualified products.  Click here to search for them.

The reason for the testing:  A change to one part of the home whether its sealing drafts, changing windows, siding, insulation, or even installation of a new door can affect other parts of the home too.

Despite the fact that we may be at your home for one problem.  We perform testing on the whole home and suggest improvements that will help to avoid issues due to the changes in your home down the road.  This process is known in the industry as, "The whole house approach".   Again, uinless we are there due to a contractors request to review the issues you're potentially having with their product or service.

No one wants to make improvements to their home and then hear; OOPS!
